Lenar .O. Akoth

Environmental Education Officer.
Lenar O Akoth graduated from Pwani University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology and
Fisheries. She joined A Rocha Kenya in November 2021 under the Environmental Education department. Lenar is  passionate about terrestrial and Marine environment as they are intertwined. She believes enough damage has already been done to the environment and therefore hopes to help find solutions and in restoration in whatever way she can.
Lenar works with schools students, community groups and churches. She educates them on
environmental issues like climate change, forestry, pollution e.tc. She enjoys her work
especially when working with students. This gives an opportunity to discuss matters on environment
and how it suffers due to anthropogenic factors and how they can help in restoration and conservation.
Lenar loves swimming, travelling and reading during her free time.
