Where we work
The work of A Rocha is globally touching the lives of thousands of people. A Rocha Kenya’s work is however done locally, within Nairobi and Watamu areas in Malindi.
Watamu
Located in Watamu, A Rocha Kenya’s Mwamba Field Study Center is 3kms from Turtle Bay, with a guest house that offers accommodation to more than 20 people either researchers, honeymooners or holiday makers. ARK is involved in different programs that invite anyone who is interested to join us. Located by the beach, be sure to catch all the fun in the ocean and also the forest in our nature trails for those in love with nature and birds.
Nairobi
In Nairobi, A Rocha Kenya is at Karara in Karen, where most of environmental education and community conservation is advocated through working with different schools, community members and churches. Karara has an indigenous tree nursery and nature trails where important knowledge on indigenous trees and different types of animals, insects and birds can be acquired.
